Directly in front of the resort is a calm natural rock pool, perfect for swimming and beginner snorkeling. Around 25–30 metres offshore, the coral reef begins and stretches for approximately 1.5 kilometres, home to a wide variety of tropical fish — and if you’re lucky, you might even spot our resident dugong.
Ocean conditions vary with the seasons. From October to April, offshore winds create calm, clear waters ideal for swimming, kayaking, and snorkeling. Between May and September, the trade winds bring onshore breezes, and the ocean can become rough.
Reef shoes are available from Reception for walking on the rocks, and complimentary snorkeling and kayaking equipment is provided for guests. Please avoid standing on or touching the coral, as it’s very fragile, and always check conditions with Reception before heading out.
